Building Principles
Whether you realize it or not, we all have principles that we follow every day. Once you’ve established some of your own principles, it sometimes takes a fair amount of discipline. Standing by your principles is an honorable gesture indeed!
For example, this is quite simple, but you know you have to brush your teeth every morning, and it’s not your favorite thing to do. But, you stand by your principles because the end result is what you know you must have…clean teeth!
OK. So the example above is way too simple for where I’m going. Try this…
So why is it so hard for some of us to have the discipline needed to find success in life? The answer isn’t as easy as one might think. In fact it’s varied and sometimes complex. Is it because we really don’t believe we can find succuss in life, or are we just lazy? Well I don’t believe it’s any of the above. (maybe simetimes) I really feel that for the majority of us it’s a matter of not knowing where to start!
If you’re reading this, than you’ve started! Congratulations! Explore everything! Make notes. Or make lots of notes like I do!
What’s important is that we develop healthy habits that show results just like the above example. How we do that is simple to some, and complex to others. I do it by creating lists. It’s like having instructions for the life I want to have. Sometimes the lists are in my head, and
sometimes on paper.
Principles can help you reach your goals. Have you established your goals? Have you written them down? Maybe you need to figure out your principles…
It’s about discipline, integrity, self respect and determination. But those are just words if you don’t have an end result in mind. Did you come to this website because you want to create a Healthier, Safer home and life, or did you navigate here because you wish to develop a more stable financial future building a Wellness Home Biz?
I would suggest asking yourself first, just what it is you really want. And then take it from there, create a list. Write down what you think you must do to obtain each want on your list. Ask yourself what each item on your list will accomplish once you get it. Know your questions, and then find your answers. Use whatever tools you can find that help.
Creating a timeline can also be effective. Make it one of your principles. Oh there’s that word again… Principle. I see it as a definite self discipline! I truly believe- “Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments” Jim Rohn
After all…it’s your life and your principles! You’ve already built some and it’s never too late to add more to your collection, especially when the end result is SUCCESS!
